It is our great pleasure to announce the first international conference of the department of dams and water resources engineering - college of engineering- Salahaddin University, Erbil:IC-WEKCA17 International Conference of Water and Energy in Kurdistan, Challenges and Alternatives, which will be held from May 14thto 15th, 2017 in Erbil City, Kurdistan Region - Iraq. This conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to enrich the discussion on the broad topics of water and the energy produced from water resources in Kurdistan region. It also seeks to present the most important challenges facing water resources in this region and shed light on various possible solutions and alternatives.
This conference is sponsored by the presidency of Salahaddin University and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research- Kurdistan Regional Government.

Call for Papers
Prospective authors are kindly invited to submit abstract and/or full paper for presentation and should be written and presented in English. We invite research papers, work in progress or case studies, and provides an ideal opportunity not only for academic scholars sharing their most recent high quality work with other experts in that field of research but also practitioners. Both empirical and conceptual or theoretical works are welcomed.
All articles must be submitted online, and peer review is managed fully electronically. Accepted manuscripts from registered participants will be published in a special issue of the official Journal of Salahaddin University. Thus, the papers must follow this journal paper format which can be downloaded here.
