Cultural Heritage Preservation through Photogrammetric Documentation (SDG11)

The seminar on Cultural Heritage Preservation through Photogrammetric Documentation is related to using photogrammetry as a tool for the documentation of cultural historical sites. Through using advancing imaging techniques such as a camera, with the aid of photogrammetry it is possible to create 3D models for objects, such as buildings, artefacts and landscapes. The proposed technique is considered to be a remote sensing tool and does not need to get a physical interface with the object, thus the suggested tool can be considered to be ideal for fragile objects or risky areas. The seminar demonstrates some case studies which has involved photogrammetry in the documentation.
