I would like to welcome you to the official website of College of Engineering, Salahaddin University-Erbil. This platform presents direct access to critical information about College of Engineering, such as its administration, academic staff, academic programs, events, engineering consulting bureau, and the teaching and learning systems.
We want to promote an academic environment that is dynamic and conducive to students’ success. We wish all academic staffs, employees, and students to visit this website to remain informed about the most recent activities, resources, opportunities, and updates. The college is dedicated to ongoing development and conducts regular evaluations and improvements of its programs following the recommendations of distinguished academics within the College Council.
College of Engineering regards as a largest and efficient College of Engineering in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. It constructed in Sulaimani in 1968 and moved to Erbil in 1981. It comprises of nine scientific departments, huge number of laboratories, a number of administration units, cafeteria, parks, consulting bureau, library etc. Total number of academic staff, employees, bachelor student, and PG student around in the college of engineering are 250, 270, 1960, and 250, respectively. It has a very nice campus and it bult on around 120 donums.

Simultaneously, contributing to the development of society and the local and regional economy. Furthermore, preparing them as good citizens who believe in human and moral values and are aware of their responsibility towards their religion, country, and people.

The College of Engineering at Salahaddin University-Erbil is dedicated to provide superior-quality education and research in engineering sciences. Our mission is to prepare students with comprehensive scientific knowledge, critical thinking skills, and practical expertise to address real-world challenges through innovative teaching, research excellence, and collaboration with industries and academic institutions. The College of Engineering aims to contribute to the scientific, technological, and economic development of the Kurdistan Region and beyond.
Our History
The College of Engineering at Salahaddin University-Erbil (SU-E) established in 1968 in the Sulaimani City, Kurdistan Region, Iraq; Later the college is moved to Erbil City in 1981. The college is located at the Engineering Campus of SU-E with adequate spaces and academic facilities. Currently, the college has nine engineering departments. The departments are Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Architecture Engineering, Software and Informatics Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Geomatics (Surveying) Engineering, Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering, and Aviation Engineering. Additionally, the college has attractive green areas, library, laboratories, cafeteria, sport yards, computer labs etc. The college participated in the development of the governmental, private and society sectors. Graduated students in our college have great role in the growth of the Erbil City, Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
