Meterological Factors Affecting Aircraft safety

On Sunday (2026/03/08), a seminar was presented by Dr. Heersh Saleem Ahmed in the hall of the Department of Aviation.

The seminar focused on weather-related hazards, including atmospheric phenomena such as turbulence, icing, thunderstorms, wind shear, fog, and strong winds, which can negatively affect aircraft performance and operational safety. These conditions may reduce visibility, alter aerodynamic forces, increase pilot workload, and lead to delays, diversions, or, in severe cases, loss of control.
