While AI itself cannot be a moral agent, it is a tool that can be aligned with human values such as fairness, safety and transparency. As the influence of artificial intelligence grows, so do the ethical questions that surround it.
A philosopher who studies technology is keeping a scorecard on AI and cautions that machines are not capable of truly moral choices.
