On Tuesday 6/5/2025, in Civil Engineering Department with the presence of the Head of the Civil Engineering Department and a number of academic staff, a seminar entitled (Innovative truss analog approach for analyzing reinforced concrete deep beam strengthened with externally bonded CFRP) was presented by (Prof. Dr. Sinan Abdulkhaliq Yasin). The innovative truss analog approach offers a simplified and effective method for analyzing reinforced concrete deep beams strengthened with externally bonded CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer). This method models the beam as a truss system, accurately representing load paths and stress distribution. By incorporating the effects of CFRP, the approach helps predict enhanced shear capacity and failure modes, making it a valuable tool for strengthening design and assessment.
