This seminar explains how aviation fuel use depends on the climate in different parts of the world and different types of aircraft engines.
Aviation fuels are specialized, high-quality fuels engineered specifically for aircraft. They are mainly divided into turbine engine jet fuels (kerosene-based) and piston engine aviation gasoline (Avgas). The most common types are Jet A-1 (the global standard), Jet A (the U.S. standard), Jet B (a cold climate blend), and 100LL Avgas. In recent years, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), a low-carbon, renewable alternative, has been gaining prominence in the industry.
